Jean Boghossian Supports the OpenMinds Charity Auction in Beirut

In April 2025, Jean Boghossian participated in the OpenMinds Charity Auction, an event organized by Nada Boulos Auction in Beirut to support the OpenMinds Fund – AUBMC Special Kids Clinic.

Held under the theme “Together for One Cause”, the auction took place in two parts:

  • Part I: Online closing with a live auction (April 28–30)
  • Part II: Online auction (April 28 – May 1)

All proceeds from the auction were donated entirely to OpenMinds, an NGO founded in 2012 to assist individuals with special needs. The organization supports awareness, inclusion, therapy, and research programs at the American University of Beirut Medical Center (AUBMC), particularly through its Special Kids Clinic, which offers vital treatment and neurogenetics research

Jean Boghossian contributed a striking artwork titled Untitled (2024) from the series All Over, a burnt mixed media on acrylic on canvas (125 × 200 × 2.5 cm), estimated at $18,000 – $25,000, generously donated by the artist.

The piece exemplifies Boghossian’s signature dialogue between creation and destruction — a process shaped by fire, smoke, and texture, evoking the balance between chaos and harmony that defines his abstract practice.

The artwork Untitled (2024) was successfully sold for $42,000, with all proceeds benefiting the OpenMinds Fund – AUBMC Special Kids Clinic.

Through this contribution, Boghossian continues his long-standing commitment to using art as a force for good, supporting humanitarian causes and fostering cultural solidarity.
