We are delighted to share that Jean Boghossian’s latest series of ceramic works is currently on view at MORE UPSTAIRS GALLERY in the heart of Brussels’ Sablon quarter. This new body of work offers a captivating exploration of his signature abstract language, shaped through the transformative and unpredictable power of fire.
In these ceramic pieces, Boghossian develops new abstract and visual alphabets—an entirely original linguistic approach. Each tablet can be read as a fragment of a wider narrative, evoking a timeless, almost archaeological resonance. Here, fire acts not merely as a tool, but as a collaborator: the material cracks, shifts, and evolves, giving rise to forms that feel both ancient and newly born.
The exhibition opened on December 5 and unfolds throughout the festive season, inviting visitors to experience Boghossian’s artistry amid one of Brussels’ most enchanting times of year. Each work reflects the artist’s continuous dialogue between creation and transformation, where flame becomes both brush and muse.
